This diversity of instruments, a varied repertoire and an original presentation make a concert of Rapalje a special act. Dressed in medieval kilts, Rapalje performs in every conceivable venue. The Craic Celtic Music Festival: "Rapalje is a bit of a wonder. The first we ever saw of them was one of the band's members in his mother's skirt in a pub in Groningen called '1672'. Then we started seeing them around the sessions in O'Ceallaigh Irish pub in Groningen. And next we knew it, these lads had developed themselves into wonderful musicians, with a keen ear for a good tune or song, and a style of their own. Rapalje hasn't taken the easy road, but have managed to become accomplished, entertaining musicians and a craic of a band, without losing their enthusiasm, their originality and their own, inimitable style."
